We are located on beautiful Leech Lake's Steamboat Bay.
From Walker go north on 371 about 13 miles, take a right on Oak Point Road and go about 7 miles. Then take a left on EAST Oak Point Road to us!
About Us
Nestled right in the heart of beautiful Steamboat Bay, you will find Oak Point Resort. With eight rental cabins - each fitted with their own kitchen, bathrooms, BBQs, firepits, and picnic tables - owners Matt and Kim Snell are excited to welcome you and your family this Up North escape.
Leech Lake has long been recognized as one of Minnesota's greatest fishing lakes. From trophy muskies, walleyes, and perch, to large and smallmouth bass, Leech Lake's 112,000 acres have something for every angler. On the resort property you can enjoy dock fishing, the swim beach, swim island, and canoes.
If fishing and lake fun aren't on your Up North agenda, we have more to offer. Oak Point Resort provides the opportunity for all our guests to experience everything that nature has to offer and to be a special part of making long lasting memories. With Chippewa National Forest on our doorstep, you have easy access to diverse hunting land and 12 beautiful miles of hiking on Oak Point Trail. We are also only a short drive from historic downtown Walker, MN where you can find unique shopping, parks, museums, restaurants, casinos and spas.
