Shingobee Winter Trails Event Rescheduled Due to Weather
The Shingobee Hills Winter Trails event scheduled for January 18 has been cancelled due to predicted winter storm this weekend. The event will be rescheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2020, with the chalet open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. that day. Families are encouraged to enjoy the sledding hill, ski trails and even try out a pair of snowshoes. Kids can earn their Junior Snow Ranger prizes and everyone can warm up by a warm fire and have a cup of hot chocolate at the chalet.
Shingobee Hlils is located six miles west of Walker, Minnesota off Highway 34. If weather conditions are severe or the sledding hills is icy, events will be rescheduled and chalet closed. Always a good idea to check the Chippewa National Forest Facebook or Twitter pages for updates on weather and trail conditions.
