Empowering Women|Resilience Conference

We are excited to invite you to join with rural women to celebrate, learn, network, and have fun at the GFWC Nevis Area Women’s Club second conference Empowering Women|Resilience to be held September 13, 2024, at Northern Lights Casino in Walker, MN.
The one-day event is designed to explore and identify resilience-building strategies by learning to live with clarity and resilience, working with change not against change. Featured Keynote Speaker Maggie Nichols, an award-winning USA Gymnast who became the first woman to report Larry Nassar for sexual abuse will share her personal story of resilience. Maggie is the subject of Netflix’s “Athlete A”, author of “Unstoppable”, and recipient of NCAA Inspiration Award. A supporting cast of extraordinary women leaders will inspire and restore a healthy lifestyle; Emily Sargent PhD understanding Native trauma, Mariah Prussia “Fight the Fight” and Amy Dee humorist.
